The bill (Reg. No. 1103) proposes to change the title of chapter XIV “Compulsory medical measures and compulsory treatment” of the Criminal Code into “Other measures of criminal-law character” and supplement it with new articles 961 “Special confiscation” and 962 “Cases of special confiscation”, which will determine the notion of special confiscation, its subjects and order of application.
The document proposes to determine procedural mechanism for special confiscation and solve the issue of property which is liable to confiscation.
Members of the Committee noted that the bill is submitted to fulfill close 29 of the National Action Plan of the Visa Liberalization Action Plan.
According to the people’s deputies, proposed changes to amend the Criminal and Criminal Procedural Codes of Ukraine will facilitate the improvement of the confiscation procedure.
